Logo & Character Design for DJ/Producer Kromly // Christi du Toit
Qi - Paradox EP artwork, forthcoming on Rogue Beatz.
Saw this pop up in my news feed this morning.
Originally shared by Opiuo, a fantastic glitch-funk producer (from Australia, I think). More recently he did a remix for KOAN Sound’s Sly Fox, from their latest release on OWSLA called The Adventures of Mr Fox - definitely worth buying.
Like I said, I haven’t given the book a read, but I thought I’d post it for interests sake. If one of the most creative producers I know posted, and contributed to it, it’s bound to be good. I thought you guys might have a bit more use for it than me, but I’m sure that a lot of the advice they give will apply to situations that aren’t necessarily music related.
It’s totally free for download as a pdf ebook HERE!: http://www.cosm.co.nz/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=325
Enjoy it!

New apparel design for Bytesize Dubstep
Not sure when this will get printed, but you can keep up to date with it on his page over at http://www.facebook.com/bytesizedubstep
As promised, here’s the Rubadub flyer for May 2012.
Sadly, this will be my last one in the series.
I was meant to do a series of 12 (one for each month this year), but had to cut it short because the deadlines started clashing with my college assignments. I knew it would happen from the start, but there was no way that I’d just turn down the offer.
Guess I’m a bit of an eager beaver when it comes to rad job opportunities.
That being said, I have gotten amazing feedback from the flyers from people who have seen them on my page and scattered around the city.
Beeeeg thanks to Rubadub for this great opportunity. Hopefully I’ll get a chance to work with them again in the future, but for now college is priority I’m afraid.
More work should be coming around soon, and I’ll put it up as soon as I get permission from the clients. (Already have quite a few pending projects).
That’s all for now.
Have a bangin’ week and weekend.
Christi.

PS. Clicking on the photo takes you to my new Facebook page where you can see more of my work.
Reblogs are super appreciated! :D
Should be uploading newer work quite soon, but while you wait, here’s a little screen shot teaser of an upcoming illustration I’m doing (will most likely end up on a t-shirt). :)
Can’t reveal the client just yet, but I’ll keep you guys posted.
Yeyaaaa.

Rubadub was a huge success.
Well, it always is, but I’ve never been so involved in it until I got the offer to be their exclusive flyer designer for the rest of 2012.
If you live in (or near) Cape Town, South Africa, and you haven’t been to Rubadub you better get your tail there for the next show on the 11th of February.
The flyer isn’t ready for release yet, but I can tell you that I’m making a paper toy to accompany the release of it.
I thought that doing flyers is cool as it is, but since I’ll be doing them all year long I might as well make it a bit more exciting than just flyers.
A set of 12 collectable flyers for each month, posters, toys, and more.
*(Got my poster signed by the legendary Ready D as well, boooooyaaaa!!)

Progress on an upcoming design. never thought I’d ever have so much trouble drawing a robot character. Even after all the dubstep artists I’ve designed for I’ve never been asked to do a robot. Crazy stuff.
Cool, so the competition is over and i’m proud to announce that the winner is James DarkElixir.
